No Valentine Celebration for Muslim

Islam Poster for You: No Valentine
Why Muslim prohibited to celebrate Valentine's Day ?
  1. Regarding to the history, Valentine’s Day firstly celebrated in ancient Roman. It’s not part of Islam.
  2. During the ancient Roman, Paganism is the belief. Muslim clearly obligated to worship only to Allaah. We are strictly prohibited to imitate Pagan believers.
Following and celebrating non-Muslims culture or celebration is Haraam (prohibited), especially doing their worship. The explanation found in the holy Quran and Sunnah:
From the Quran: Allaah Says (what means): "And be not as those who divided and differed among themselves after the clear proofs had come to them. It is they for whom there is an awful torment." [Quran 3:105](From the Sunnah: the Prophet (peace be upon him) said: "Whoever imitates a people is one of them." (Abu Daawood)
  3. Valentine’s Day triggers young generation to have a relationship out of marriage. It can lead them to do fornication. In fact,  Love in Islam is not only about man and woman relationship. There are love for Allaah, for the Messenger, for the family and many other good and rightness. If a man or a woman want to have serious relationship, they have to get marry. Read Quran surah An Nisa’ (4:1) “O mankind, fear your Lord, who created you from one soul and created from it its mate and dispersed from both of them many men and women. And fear Allah , through whom you ask one another, and the wombs. Indeed Allah is ever, over you, an Observer.
